Prescription Requests

Please could all patients ensure they request their prescriptions 7 days in advance of running out of medication. The surgery will sign all prescriptions within 72  hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays ) of them being submitted either on paper at reception or via the NHS app. We will send all prescriptions directly to your nominated pharmacy.

 It is very difficult to process urgent prescription requests as it requires disrupting staff from their work and slows the system down.  We want to provide the best service we can for our patients and if you could help us with this it would be much appreciated.

 Please be aware that prescriptions requested via the NHS app will be processed more quickly, as the paper prescription requests have to be manually added to the system

 Your local pharmacy can provide a small urgent supply of your regular medication without prescription if you are at risk of running out of your medication.  An emergency prescription supply can also be obtained from NHS 111
